I live on the south coast with my wife and little boy. I've always been creative, and thought for a long time growing up that I would work in the music industry. Life led me along a slightly different path and when I first got my hands on a camera something clicked (excuse the pun!) and I found an outlet for my creativity that would become my passion as well as a way for me to give joy to others.
My approach to wedding photography may be referred to as photojournalistic or reportage. I don't like to interfere too much with what is going on and like to capture real smiles and real tears to capture the true emotions of the day. I like to do a couple shoot (hopefully as the sun sets so the light is lovely and soft!) where I will guide you into 'poses' but I like these photos to look as natural as possible.
I care about all of my clients, it is a huge privilege to be part of such an important day, so I won't book more weddings in a year that I can realistically give my absolute best to. I am easy to reach if you ever have any questions, and hopefully, when the cake is all eaten and the music stops, not only will you have awesome photos to look back on, you'll also have made an awesome friend.
How far will you travel?
I photograph weddings mainly in Dorset, Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex however would be more than happy to travel further afield.
Are you insured?
I am fully insured to carry out wedding photography wherever it may take me.
What happens if we decide to book you for our wedding?
Usually I would meet with you prior to you booking me in for your big day then a £150 deposit secures your date and we can get on with the fun stuff like organising an engagement shoot :)
What is a pre wedding shoot?
A pre wedding shoot is an opportunity for me to get to know you a bit before the big day, it helps you to be more comfortable in front of the camera and helps me understand what is important to you both when it comes to your wedding photography. Typically I suggest we go somewhere special to you as a couple or somewhere pretty like a park or the coast and spend an hour or two wandering around taking some nice pictures. What if I don't like posing?
Not a problem, I can do as little or as much posed photography as you prefer, however, my style is very natural so even when I am posing people for a shot I will very rarely, if not ever, ask you to look at the camera and put on your best cheesy grin (unless it's a formal group shot). I usually do a couple shoot of just the two of you and family formals but as I say this is not compulsory.
How many formal group shots do you take?
Normally around 45 minutes is reserved for formal photos at weddings and I don't like keeping people from getting on and enjoying the day so I always advise my couples to keep it minimal, around 15 different groups of close friends and family as well as the bridal party is normally plenty.
