I have been rather quiet on the blog front for a while as back in August we welcomed a new addition to the family, our beautiful daughter Norah, she has settled in really well and we are trying to savour every moment as time seems to be flying by.
Next week, Sunday November 5th to be exact, I will be exhibiting at The Wonderous Wedding Fair at the Pyramids Centre in Southsea. This should be a great event with lots of alternative and vintage inspired vendors as well as workshops, bridal fashion shows and music. For more info please click the image below.
I will be doing an Instagram raffle for a free pre wedding shoot at the fair worth £200!
All you have to do is come along, take a selfie at the fair and use #danielphotographyuk to enter.
The winner will be drawn on the evening of November 5th and announced here on my blog and on Facebook.
Keep an eye on the blog in the near future as I will be catching up on posting about all the great weddings I have shot this year!
Hayley & Lee had an awesome New Forest wedding at the Moorhill House Hotel. Their ceremony was outdoors which is not only a great match for a shining sun but it also means I can move around a lot and get lots of interesting angles of what's going on. The grounds also made for lots of fun photos after the formalities and there was plenty of space for kids to burn off some steam!
I unfortunately had to shoot early in the evening as my wife was taken in to hospital (nothing too serious fortunately!) so the awesome Natalie Takes Photos took my place and finished off the photography duties on my behalf, some of the images below are hers and thanks again Natalie for helping me out!
Kate and Matt had a beautiful, very DIY wedding at Warborne Farm in the New Forest, but no detail was spared a touch of pretty farmyard charm. The atmosphere of the day was very chilled, when I arrived I was greeted by guests swigging ale in the amazing on site accommodation and friends and relatives preparing flowers, laying tables and writing speeches.
The best bit for me was that the wedding was nearly entirely outdoors, aided by a beautiful setting and very cool, relaxed people. There was also the Flagon Wagon, provided by The Stable, a mobile cider and ale bar built into a vintage tanker truck, a very cool feature and something I am looking forward to seeing at more weddings in the future, it was hard not to pull myself a refreshing pint of the good stuff on offer from the likes of Unity Brewing Co and Meon Valley Cider.
Thanks to Kate & Matt for letting me be part of their special day, I had an awesome time photographing the wedding! If you are looking for a wedding photographer for your New Forest wedding please get in touch here.
For Kate & Matt's shoot we met up in the New Forest to take a walk through the woods, unfortunately it clouded over a bit but the sun poked it's head out a few times and we got some great shots. The log pile was the highlight for me :) looking forward to the wedding guys!
If you are getting married in the New Forest or having a Hampshire wedding please get in touch here if you'd like to discuss your wedding photography.
Next up in the Spring engagement shoot line up is Kathryn & Mike's at Weston shore. The sun was blazing and while exploring we found lots of quirky trees and a castle! Which unfortunately was private so doesn't make an appearance :( But we got lots of fun shots in the sun, fingers crossed for similar weather on the big day!
Over the Easter period I've been doing lots of engagement shoots and they will all be appearing here soon, this is the first in the line up and it is Sharon and Paul's Lakeside Country Park shoot. We had initially intended to go to Netley Abbey however after some confusion with their opening times that are listed online we went for Lakeside instead.
The weather has been beautiful lately and it was also the case for the shoot, we explored the lakes and surrounding park land and got some great shots. Sharon and Paul are having their wedding at The Royal Winchester Hotel in May and fingers crossed the weather will be as good as it was for their engagement shoot.
If you are getting married in Hampshire or the surrounding areas I am still taking bookings for Winter 2017 and 2018 so please get in touch here if you'd like to talk with me about your wedding photography.
I had the pleasure of meeting up with Kim & Clare to discuss their wedding and shoot a few snaps at the beautiful Wasing Park in Berkshire last week. It's a great venue with lots of quirky buildings and awesome guest accomodation. They have a great day planned for their wedding and I'm really looking forward to capturing it for them.
If you are planning a Wasing wedding or are getting married in Berkshire you can contact me here to discuss your wedding photography.
